Is PUBG Banned in Pakistan???

Thousands of people from Pakistan have recently reported that PUBG is not working here. All of them are unable to enter the game.

Mostly, they are unable to login. But, people who are already logged in on PUBG see an error message. Something like this error is shown to the logged in users when they try to enter the game.

Match server did not respond. Please try again later.

Possible Reasons for PUBG Servers Down:-

  1. The government of Pakistan has banned it after the reports of two young boys' suicide.
  2. A temporary issue on PUBG's end.

So, now the question is how to play PUBG from Pakistan now.

The answer is very simple. You can use a VPN to connect with PUBG server. A point to be noted is that you need to select a country other than Pakistan (like USA, Singapore, France, etc.)

What do you think about this? Is PUBG really banned in Pakistan or is it somthing else?

As of 1st July 2020, PUBG is now officially banned in Pakistan by PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority).

This decision is taken due to the massive amount of complaints from different segments of society.

Actually, Honorable Lahore High court has directed PTA to look into this issue and decide the matter after hearing the complainants. In this regard, a hearing will be conducted on 9th July 2020.

PTA also decided to receive views of the public regarding the online game PUBG. In this regard, they have encouraged the public to provide their feedback through [email protected] by 10th July 2020.

So, its time to open up your email and send your views/feedback to PTA through the above mentioned email.

According to several pakistani news outlets (like: Geo and Samaa), The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has imposed a temporary ban on PUBG. It is an online battle game that is very "addictive". In turn, it is severely damaging the health of young Pakistani boys and girls.

PTA has recently notified that:-

"PTA has received numerous complaints against PUBG wherein it is stated that the game is addictive, wastage of time and poses serious negative impact on physical and psychological health of the Children."
