The error is &#8220;<strong>HTTPS is invalid and might prevent it from being indexed<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This error caused massive confusion among the SEO community and website owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t worry. Today, I&#8217;ll help you understand this error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HTTPS is invalid and might prevent it from being indexed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Basically, this error does not mean that the URL won&#8217;t be indexed, it means Google has never seen the URL, or has seen the URL but not crawled it yet. Google may also be indexing the HTTP version of that URL instead for the time being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Google Official Reply<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>John Mueller from Google said on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JohnMu\/status\/1571744313654054912\">Twitter<\/a>\u00a0that they dug through these reports and will be updating the warnings to make them <strong>&#8220;less scary&#8221;<\/strong>. While the errors are correct, he said, the warnings are just an <strong>FYI<\/strong> (For Your Information) and <strong>&#8220;not an error&#8221;<\/strong> that is causing issues in Google Search, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Thanks! It is just a <strong>notice<\/strong> that you will see when you submit new URLs to Google Search Console. The &#8220;<strong>HTTPS is invalid and might prevent it from being indexed<\/strong>&#8221; error will automatically disappear with the passage of time when Google crawl and indexes your page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you see the pages are not being indexed, I doubt it is related to this error.
